Position Summary: The Environmental Services Manager1 plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe, sanitary, and clean environment for all patients, visitors, and employees at Golden Plains Community Hospital. Under the direction of the COO, this position is responsible for organizing, Managing, and controlling the operations of the Environmental Services Department. The Manager ensures compliance with CMS regulations while upholding the hospital's mission. This role is pivotal in holding staff accountable for their performance, motivating them, and maintaining the department's overall operations. In addition to operational responsibilities, the Environmental Services Manager is committed to supporting cultural diversity within the hospital. This includes ensuring that quality, equitable, and culturally competent patient-centered care is delivered. The Manager promotes and maintains an inclusive work environment that respects and accepts diversity. Furthermore, they ensure that cultural diversity and sensitivity training is integrated into new employee orientation and remains ongoing to meet the needs of the hospital's diverse patient population. The position requires a proactive leadership approach, with an emphasis on effective communication, coordination, and decision-making. The Manager must be detail-oriented and able to work independently. The role also involves physical demands, including the ability to lift and move equipment and supplies, as well as the capacity to withstand prolonged periods of standing and walking. This role is pivotal in holding staff accountable for their performance, motivating them, and maintaining the overall operation of the department while upholding the hospital's mission
In addition to operational responsibilities, the Environmental Services Manager 1 is committed to supporting cultural diversity within the hospital
This includes ensuring that quality, equitable, and culturally competent patient-centered care is delivered

Organize, manage, and control the operations of the Environmental Services Department
Ensure compliance with All Payroll Policies
Hold staff accountable for performance and motivate them to maintain operations
Support cultural diversity and ensure equitable patient-centered care is provided
Promote and maintain an inclusive work environment and culture
Ensure cultural diversity and sensitivity training is part of new employee orientation
Work independently without supervision and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner
Work with Infection Control to ensure cleaning standards are being met
Attend and give a report in the Infection Control Meeting (QuarterlyLinen Culture Report)
