The Assistant Director has multiple roles and functions, including caregiver, decision maker, client advocate, manager, rehabilitator, comforter, communicator, and teacher. The functions include assessment of the patient's nursing needs, initiation of the plan of nursing actions, implementation of the plan, and evaluation of the process, using the nursing process. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations provide guidelines for the competent, safe, and professional practice. The Assistant Director promotes the dignity and quality of nursing care provided to the patient. The Assistant Director assists the Director with administrative duties upon request. Responsible for collaborating with the nursing staff/other disciplines as needed in order to assist each patient in obtaining their desired goal by ensuring implementation of appropriate processes and plans of care.
Position Qualifications:
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
- Currently registered in the State of Texas as a Registered Nurse, a Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Current CPR certification, ACLS, and NRP
- Work Experience: two years of Specialized Clinical experience preferred.
- Must be able to provide direct and supervise patient care.
- Demonstrated leadership, teaching and management skills.
- Attend all mandatory meetings.
