Golden Plains Community Hospital is seeking a full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse to work in our Medicare Only Clinic. Hours of operation for this clinic are Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm. Candidate must like to work with senior patients.
Position Summary:  Functions as a health care member under the direction of the Physician to implement the plan of care utilizing the nursing process. Provides a safe, therapeutic environment by following standards of nursing practice in technical skills.
 
Position Qualifications:

1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current license from the State of Texas as an LVN.
2. Current CPR certification required, ACLS certification preferred.
3. One or more current years of experience as an LVN preferred.
4. Computer skills required.
5. 2 years of working in a Clinic as a LVN, preferred.

 
Essential Functions:

1. Demonstrates the ability to perform the technical skills and critical thinking outlined in the performance standards.
2. Must be able to provide nursing care to patients of geriatric populations.
3. Must demonstrate good communication skills (both written and verbal). Must have good organizational skills and be able to effectively prioritize responsibilities.
4. Demonstrates teamwork, self-direction and teaching skills.
5. Maintain clinic log books
6. Maintain patient charts / EHR
